Christmas Eve Service
Candlelight Lessons & Carols, 4:30 p.m., December 24
Join us for an evening Lessons and Carols service on Christmas Eve! Lessons and Carols—also known as the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols—is a longstanding Christmas Eve tradition, originating in the late 19th century and popularized by King's College, Cambridge. The service consists of nine Scripture lessons retelling the biblical history of the Fall, prophecies of the Messiah, and finally the birth of Christ as the fulfillment of Scripture. Each lesson is followed by a carol sung by the congregation as a response.
